Best Android Poop and Stool Tracker Apps: 2026 Comparison

A useful Android poop tracker should make it easy to record a bowel movement and understand your history. But apps in this category serve different needs: some concentrate on stool details, while others combine food, symptoms, stress, and other daily observations.

This guide compares four Android options, including Balloon, a free Android poop tracker with bowel movement logging, history, insights, gut health articles, and guided belly massage. Choose according to the information you want to record and the amount of detail you will realistically keep up with.

Disclosure: This article is published by the team behind Balloon. We include competing apps and explain where they may suit your needs better.

What we checked: On October 19, 2026, we inspected the three competitors included here—Poop Tracker, Poopify, and Bowelle—on a Pixel 10a running Android 17. We opened each app’s bowel-entry screens. Balloon's Android feature summary below is based on its current Google Play listing. The Balloon screenshots were captured from the real Android app on September 25, 2026, using a synthetic demo account. We did not test long-term insights, complete an export, verify backup restoration, audit privacy practices, or purchase subscriptions. Recommendations are editorial judgments based on that limited check and the linked developer descriptions.

Bowelle Recording bowel habits alongside food, feelings, and stress The bowel-entry screen we inspected used five consistency levels

Balloon: a free Android poop tracker with history and belly massage

Price: Free on Android. Log bowel movements, review your history and insights, read gut health articles, and use guided belly massage in one app.

Balloon for Android records Bristol stool type, time, color, size, duration, symptoms associated with a bowel movement, and notes. Its developer listing also describes editing entries, marking no-poop days, calendar and history views, bowel movement insights, and logging streaks.

Alongside the diary, you can explore gut health articles and guided belly massage sessions. Basic poop logs can be saved offline and synced after reconnecting, according to the listing.

Inside Balloon for Android

Balloon Android screenshots aligned side by side: poop logging, weekly history, and guided belly massage

Real Android screens from a synthetic demo account, captured September 25, 2026. Select the layout to enlarge it, or open the original logging screen, history screen, and belly massage screen.

Why consider it: You want a free Android bowel diary with history, insights, educational content, and guided belly massage in the same app.

Limit: Do not assume the Android app includes everything described in an iPhone review. Food and AI fiber tracking, Apple Watch support, and the iOS PDF report workflow are not part of this Android feature summary. If a particular feature is essential, check the Android app before choosing.

Poop Tracker – Toilet Log: a dedicated Bristol stool log

Poop Tracker Android stool selector and Premium subscription screen aligned side by side

Poop Tracker’s stool selector and Premium offer, captured October 19, 2026. Select the layout to enlarge it.

In our first-use check, Poop Tracker offered optional profile, appearance, and reminder setup. We could skip those steps and the subscription offer to open its bowel-entry flow without creating an account.

The stool selector showed all seven Bristol types plus a no-bowel-movement option. Subsequent screens offered size and color choices. We also saw a banner advertisement during entry.

Why consider it: You want a dedicated stool logger with a clearly labeled seven-type selector. Onboarding also offered a discreet app name and icon, although we did not test that setting.

Cost observed: The subscription screen showed $3.49 monthly or $20.99 annually, with a seven-day trial. It listed advanced analysis, photo attachments, medication tracking and analysis, food analysis, a downloadable report card, weekly report add-ons, and ad removal as Premium features. We skipped the offer. Prices and offers can vary by country and account.

Poopify: detailed bathroom records

Poopify Android home calendar and detailed bowel entry form aligned side by side

Poopify’s home screen and entry form. Entry values are app defaults, not a saved health record. Select the layout to enlarge it.

Poopify's home screen put bathroom logging, statistics, a calendar, menstrual information, and a mini-game within reach. We saw a banner advertisement at the bottom.

Its entry form offered consistency and secondary consistency, color, smell, volume, girth, pain, stickiness, hygiene method, symptoms, and time on the toilet. There were also switches for details such as blood, food pieces, floating, and gas. That is considerably more detail than a simple time-and-stool-type log.

Why consider it: You want a structured place for several observations about each visit.

Limit: A long form can feel cumbersome if your priority is minimal daily entry. The developer advertises PDF and CSV export, multiple profiles, and offline operation; we did not verify those workflows or the price of removing ads.

Bowelle: a diary for bowel habits and daily context

Bowelle Android daily diary panels and five-point consistency selector aligned side by side

Bowelle’s diary panels and five-point consistency selector, captured during first use. Select the layout to enlarge it.

Bowelle opened to panels for how you feel, bowel movements, food, and stress. Expanding the bowel panel revealed an add button and a consistency selector labeled from 1 to 5, with hard and loose at opposite ends.

Why consider it: You want to record bowel habits alongside everyday context in a diary organized around a few large panels.

Limit: The five-point entry scale we inspected is different from a seven-type Bristol selector. If recording an exact Bristol type matters to you, check whether its entry format fits your needs.

The developer listing also describes water tracking, custom fields, charts, history, and email export. We did not test those features or establish the current free-versus-paid limits.

How to choose an Android stool tracker

Start with your main use case. For a dedicated bowel diary, compare Balloon, Poop Tracker, and Poopify. For food and symptom context, look at Bowelle as well.

Before committing, try the entry screen and check:

  • Logging format: Does it use seven Bristol types, another consistency scale, or your own notes?
  • Daily effort: Can you comfortably record the details you care about?
  • History and export: Can you access and share the information you need, and is that feature paid?
  • Account and storage: Check account requirements, offline behavior, backup, deletion, and the developer's privacy policy.
  • Total cost: Check the actual offer on your phone, including renewal price and which features remain available without paying.

Common questions

Yes. Download Balloon for Android or iOS. Android focuses on bowel tracking, history, insights, articles, and belly massage. Features differ between platforms.

Is Balloon free on Android?

Yes. Balloon for Android is free, including bowel movement logging, history, insights, gut health articles, and guided belly massage. The Android and iOS apps have different feature sets.

Are poop trackers and gut health apps the same thing?

There is overlap. A poop tracker concentrates on bowel movements; a broader diary may also record meals, stress, medications, and other symptoms. The comparison above separates those needs so you can choose the amount of tracking you want.

Does this comparison prove one app improves gut health more than another?

No. This is a comparison of app features and first-use experiences, not a clinical study or a test of health outcomes.
